Lewin’s Change Management model was developed for the first time during 1950s by Kurt Lewin. It was being noted by Lewin that most of the people do prefer to perform within their respective safety zones. Some of the stages of change which is involved in this model are: Transition: This stage takes place after changes are made in the organisation and this is expected to last for some time. For this stage to be successful, it is important to have adequate leadership and reassurance. Unfreeze: Most of the people involve in the organisation make some efforts to make changes in the organisation. thus, in order to overcome this, a period of unfreezing is undertaken through motivation. Refreeze: After changes are made and implemented in the most successful manner, the company returns to their stable position. The staffs however gets refreeze when they start to operate under the new form of guidelines. This model is used widely and is quite time consuming. As because this model is very much easy to use, most of the companies prefer to implement this model so that they can bring about major changes (“Lewin’s 3 Stage Model of Change Explained”, 2022).
